Will club football resume earlier in the summer?
Current Format
As per Wikipedia,"The current format involves a qualification phase, which takes place over the preceding three years, to determine which teams qualify for the tournament phase. In the tournament phase, 32 teams, including the automatically qualifying host nation(s), compete for the title at venues within the host nation(s) over about a month."
2022 World Cup
The 2022 version of the competition is due to be held in Qatar from 21 November. The final will be played on 18 December in the Iconic Lusail Stadium. The competition will follow the same format as being followed from the last several decades with 32 teams and maybe the last time it is played with this format.

Normally, the World Cup is held in the summer break from the club football in the months of June and July. But why is it being held in the winters this time around?
Why a winter World Cup in 2022?
This time around the World Cup is going to be held in the winters, the first time in the history since its inception. As per Goal,
"This was done with the country's sweltering summer temperatures in mind, with the winter climate set to be slightly cooler for players."
Clearly the middle-east experiences temperatures up-to 50 C, making it unfit for holding 64 games. So, keeping in mind the well-being of the players and the good spirits that the competition is usually played in, FIFA has shifted the World Cup to winters.
How will this affect the club football schedule?
The current World Cup will be held between 21 November and 18 December. Generally, club football is being played at this time of the year. So, to combat this problem, FIFA will issue a 6-week break from the club football, so the tournament can be held in harmony without over-tiring the players.
Will club football resume earlier in the summer?
Another point that rises is could the club football season begin earlier than August to combat this? Well, there doesn't seem to be any official statement from any of the concerned authorities at the moment. Should anything of those sorts happen, we will update you.
